SHOW JUMPING

is the most popular equestrian competition in Poland and around the world and the basis of our sports program. In this competition, a pair of rider and horse overcome obstacles placed in the park. Each obstacle is constructed in a way that is safe for both the horse and the rider, that is, the elements through which they jump even with a slight impact fall to the ground.

In jumping competitions, horse and rider have to overcome several to a dozen obstacles in a certain order, time and with as few mistakes as possible. A mistake is knocking down a pole or refusing to obey the horse, i.e. stopping in front of an obstacle or bypassing an obstacle. The order of jumping obstacles is determined by numbers lying next to the obstacle and the direction of jumping obstacles by flags hanging on the obstacle, the white flag is passed with the left hand and the red flag with the right hand, it is the flags that determine the correct width of the obstacle for jumping. Dropping, breaking out or exceeding the time limit are penalized with penalty points. During the CAVALIADA, competitions of various heights and ranks are held.

CSI4*-W by the name of the event stands for international show jumping competition. The number of stars indicates the financial pool to be won, the higher the number of stars the higher the pool and the greater the prestige of the event. "W" next to the name means World Cup competitions.

HORSE CARRIAGE DRIVING

at CAVALIADA the competition takes place in the combined marathon formula, i.e. a combination of the marathon with agility obstacles.

All riders compete in a basic run, where every mistake is converted into time, only the top three riders go through to the Drive-OFF, i.e. the competition. The team reaching the best time wins.

In carriage driving there are many reasons to  receive penalty seconds; the most common ones include: dropping the balls of an agility obstacle - 5 seconds, dropping the balls of a marathon obstacle - 5 seconds, route error: dropping an obstacle not yet overcome - 15 seconds. In the course of the rides mistakes of the route, the descent of the halter or its interference with the braking or steering of the reins are also possible, for all these offences there is a corresponding number of penalty seconds or even elimination.
